Wolf Blass veinimaja asutaja Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass sündis Saksamaal 1934.a. Tema teekond veinideni sai alguse aastal 1957 Prantsusmaal õppides šampanja valmistamist. Pärast seda õppis ta Inglismaal veinide segamiskunsti. 1961.a kolis ta Austraaliasse, tema visiooniks oli luua oma veinimaja, mis saigi teoks 5 aastat hiljem 1966.a. Veinid, mis tol ajal loodi, olid robustsed ja vajasid palju aega tarbimiskõlblikuks arenemisel. Wolfgang soovis aga teha veine, mis oleks kohe joodavad, nii kogusid tema veinid kuulsust, kui sündides küpsed veinid. Tänaseks on veinimaja üks enim auhinnatud maja Austraalias.
