Description

Masi veinikoda asub Gargagnago külas, Valpolicellas. Veinikoja omanikuks on Sandro Boscaini, kelle esivanemad alustasid veiniistanduse pidamist juba 18. saj. lõpus.

Masi on üks Itaalia tuntuim ning hinnatuim veinikelder, eriti hinnatud on nende Amarone veinid. Ühtalsi on Masi ka esimene, kes valmistas esmakordselt “ripasso” meetodil veini.
Viinamarjasordid korjatakse eraldi peale täieliku küpsuse saavutamist. Käärimine toimub roostevabast terasest vaatides kindlatel temperatuuridel. Kontakt kestadega toimub 10-18 päeva vältel sõltudes viinamarjasordist ning seejärel toimub fermentatsioon selekteeritud pärmidega 25 päeva (25-28 °C).
Pärast malolaktilist fermentatsiooni jäetakse vein valmima suurtesse Slavonia tammevaatidesse 6-10 kuuks.
